Dallas, Texas. One desk, one phone number.

Looking for a fractional CFO near you

Distance is the word people start with, and the worry underneath it is whether the work can really be done without somebody in the room. It can. The books do not need a driveway to be tied out.

What wanting somebody local is really about

It is a reasonable human request, and it is usually about two things. Whether the person will understand your town, and whether they will actually pick up.

Neither of those is a mileage question. The first is about knowing your sales tax stack and your lender by name. The second is about how the desk is run.

What owners usually mean by near me

Most of the time they mean somebody who will name their city, their local tax stack and their bank without inventing an office on their street. That is a fair thing to want and it is also a fair thing to check.

What a month closed from elsewhere looks like

The strip below is a month that closed away from the owner's town, with the rows named and no figures on it.

The distance row is on there deliberately, because pretending it does not exist would be the same dishonesty as inventing a lobby.

Your town is marked because it is the row that has to be true, and the one a distant desk most often skips. No client figure is printed here.

What is actually near you

The thing an owner needs close at hand is the answer, not the desk. A Tax CFO is the controller and CFO seat for an owner-run business with the tax work inside it, so the books, the return and the plan come from one desk and the October number is decided before the year ends. Businesses don't hire a CPA. They hire a CFO.

Breadth is why one remote desk works better than three local ones, because the books, the Texas filings and the return stop being handed between people. Height is the October call, which has never once needed a car park.

A zip code holds no credential

Working across miles is ordinary, and distance does not create a CPA credential any more than proximity does. This desk holds none, and it keeps no office in your city. A firm that holds the credential, wherever it sits, still owns audits, reviews and assurance reports, and a video call does not manufacture one. The unshortened wording is kept on the disclosures page.
